Back in 2017, a new construction industry concept was born, with the aim of connecting customers in need of concrete with trusted local suppliers at the best possible price, all within one easy phone call.
This new business idea, named The Concrete Network, quickly started to gain traction within the industry, enlisting the help of reliable concrete partners across the UK whilst providing exceptional levels of customer service via a national, Hertfordshire based contact centre.
A natural next step for the business saw the network expand to include concrete pump suppliers, which gave customers increased flexibility when dealing with hard to reach areas as part of their construction projects. Another well received concrete service, it soon became a business in its own right, and so, the Concrete Pumping Network came into existence.
Despite the success of these two branches, the Concrete Network team were extremely aware that this represented only one side of any construction job. In order to provide a true, one-stop service for their customers, they needed to expand further into another key aspect of the construction process – waste management.
The first step into this world involved grab hire, and after conducting a wealth of in-depth market research to ensure that they delivered a top quality service to their customers, the team began to reach out to local suppliers across the country and started to build what would then become the Grab Hire Network.
While grab & tipper hire proved popular waste management solutions for many construction and clearance projects, it became apparent that many customers were interested in hiring skips. This feedback led to the most recent expansion within the business, and preparations began to launch the Skip Supply Network.
By September 2019, we found ourselves with four fantastic brands, all working towards the same goal; to connect domestic & commercial customers across the UK with all of their construction & waste management supply needs without the need for calling around multiple different suppliers.
Following our journey and expansion into all of these different areas, we felt it was time to bring everything together under one clear brand name, that would become instantly recognisable to all of our current and potential customers.
We needed something that would embody everything that we do, whilst still giving us room to grow and innovate, always listening and looking at new ways in which we can help our consumers. Most importantly, we wanted to remember where it all started and create something that was an evolution of our existing brands, rather than a complete restart.
After some deliberation we came up with the ideal name…welcome to the Service Supply Network, the UK’s largest network of independent concrete & waste management suppliers.
